Services

We are committed to sharing the most current news and information pertaining to Medicare programs and the insurances industry as a whole.

We Offer

Sage Insurance Advisors can help you:

  • Understand how Medicare and its associated insurance plans work.
  • Determine which plan is best suited to your unique needs.
  • Enroll in the plan of your choice.
  • Keep informed on changes that may impact your insurance coverage.

Our advisors contract with all the major Medicare insurance companies, so we do not “sell” any particular company. We let your needs lead us to the plan that you think is right for you.

Our services do not end with your plan enrollment.

Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug plans typically modify their coverages every calendar year. Each fall, during the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP), we offer a free annual reassessment to determine if your current plan is still the most cost-effective plan for the next year.

Plus, we are here to help if you have claims or administrative issues. With Sage Insurance Advisors, you have more than an agent, you have an advocate to help you now and in the future.

Sage Insurance Advisors offers a wide range of products to cover medical expenses:

  • Affordable Care Act (ACA) plans – These are plans available through the Federal Marketplace. We can help you:
    • Determine if you are eligible for a subsidy to lower your monthly premium.
    • Establish a Marketplace account.
    • Select and enroll in a plan.
  • Short-term health plans – Designed to be a bridge between group health plans, short-term plans cover major medical expenses for one-month, or up to two-years. They are not as comprehensive as ACA plans and they do not cover pre-existing conditions, but they typically cost less than ACA plans.
  • MediShare Health Co-op plans – MediShare is not health insurance. It is a group of Christians coming together to help pay each other’s medical expenses. Unlike standard insurance policies, it has no contractual guarantees. In practice, however, it works much the same way as a traditional health plan. MediShare covers more than a short-term plan, and it is normally less expensive than an ACA plan, especially for families. For individuals and families not eligible for an ACA premium subsidy, MediShare is an attractive alternative.
  • Travel insurance – Health insurance plans have limited to no coverage outside of the USA. Travel insurance provides coverage in a foreign country and can help pay to get you home.

Sage Insurance Advisors offers these group insurance products:

  • Small group health insurance
    • ACA plans
    • Level-funded plans
    • Traditional small group plans
  • Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) plans
    • Health Reimbursement Accounts give employers an opportunity to help employees with their health insurance without participation and premium share requirements. Employers establish and fund an HRA which employees can draw from to pay health insurance premiums or pay medical expenses. Employees purchase their own individual insurance. HRA plans give employers a way of providing an employee benefit while establishing how much they want to pay for it.
    •
  • Life insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Short-term disability insurance
  • Long-term care insurance

Traditionally, individual dental insurance has not been a good value, because they require up to a year’s premiums before covering major services, then only 50% of the cost moving forward. We have worked to find carriers that offer:

  • Plans that cover preventative, comprehensive and major services immediately.
  • Plans that allow you to visit your dentist regardless of whether he/she is in-network.
  • Plans that cover implants.

Why consider long-term care insurance? Here are six reasons:

  1. It protects family relationships.
  2. It protects the health of your caregivers.
  3. It protects your retirement accounts.
  4. It gives you control of how and where you receive care.
  5. The risk of needing long-term care is high. Studies show 52% of those over age 65 will receive long-term care.
  6. The cost of long-term care is expensive:

Life insurance is like a swiss army knife in that it can do many things. You know it provides a tax-free cash benefit when the insured dies. What you may not know is life insurance can provide money in the event you become critically ill or need long-term care. It can help you save to put a child through college or help fund for your retirement. Life insurance can insure a child’s insurability, allowing them to increase a policy’s benefit as they grow older, regardless of their health condition. It can protect your business if a key person is lost. Bottom line, life insurance is an essential part of protecting assets and providing for your loved ones and yourself.

Life insurance has three basic forms: term, universal and whole life. The key is determining which form most efficiently meets your goals, while providing the protection you need at a price you can afford. We can help you decide which plan is right for you. Call us at 888-471-4497.

Supplemental insurance works along side of traditional health insurance to help pay your portion of medical expenses, such as deductibles, co-pays, and coinsurance. It can also help pay for travel, meals, and in the case of disability insurance, living expenses. We offer:
